What Facilities does the Wildwood Spa offer?
Our facilities include a Wood-Fired Roundhouse Sauna, two Wood-Fired Hot Tubs, three Ice Baths, a Cold Water Bucket Shower, and a hot shower. Changing rooms are available and equipped with hair dryers and lockable storage for your valuables.
What time should I arrive before my session?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your booked session to allow time for a briefing. Note, arriving late will shorten your sauna. 5 minutes has been added, to include time for changing.
Do I need to bring my own towels and swimwear?
Yes, we recommend bringing 2 towels (one to dry with and one to sit on), swimwear, water and any personal items you may need during your visit. We have towels for sale in case you need one. Flip Flops/Sliders are required to be worn while walkign around the spa complex.
Are there facilities for changing and showering?
Yes, we have changing rooms for privacy before and after your session. We have a hot and cold showers within the spa. The changing rooms also have mirrors and hairdryers for your use.
Are there any toilet facilities?
Yes, there are toilets located nearby the spa.
What's the minimum age limit you allow?
The minimum age is 16. Under 18's to be accompanied by an adult.
What is the recommended duration for sauna and cold water sessions?
We suggest no longer than 15 minutes in the sauna followed by a brief cold plunge, repeating this cycle as desired, while listening to your body's signals.
How long should I stay in the Ice Bath
You only need about 90 seconds of cold shock – keep your arms moving rather than sitting still, as this helps you acclimatise to the cold more quickly. Please ensure you shower before using the ice baths to remove any sweat.
Is there safe storage
Yes, there are locakble storage lockers available in the changing rooms.
Can we put essential oil on the stones
No, oil does not mix with water; it floats on the surface, where it can burn and release toxic fumes.
Is there Parking
Yes, please use the main car park, situated as you enter The Park Mawgan Porth and it is a short 60 second walk to the Wildwood Spa.
Are Dogs Allowed?
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the Spa area.
